Training
The Social Media Management Policy training is required for all social media employees to take once a year.

An online video training is in the works and will be published here soon.

Contact University Communications
University Communications is available to support BYU social media account managers and support teams with any questions about account management, content, community engagement, and external communications.

Please contact University Communications when you:

  • Want to start, close, or significantly change an official BYU social media account
  • Have questions about the Social Media Management Policy or Procedures
  • Need guidance on an appropriate response to a comment or DM, or if you have a question about community standards of engagement
  • Encounter a situation online that may require escalation
  • Are unsure whether content is appropriate to publish
  • Are experiencing a crisis situation within your unit, so that we can help navigate crisis communications together
  • Need help with social media strategy or best practices
  • Would like to schedule an in-person social media training or consulting session

You don’t need to navigate difficult or unfamiliar social media situations on your own! If you’re unsure how to handle a situation, pause before action and reach out to University Communications for guidance!
